Aria’s high roller poker tournament results in three million dollar winners after pot chop
It is not uncommon for a poker tournament to end with a chopped pot if the players participating in the final table decide to cut a deal. During a special high roller event hosted by the Aria Resort & Casino of Las Vegas, the top three players remaining decided to agree to chop the pot which resulted in each player earning a $1 million+ prize.
Aria Poker hosted the event, which was the fourth high roller tournament to take place at the casino this past week. A $10,000, $25,000 and $50,000 tournament took place earlier in the week before the final event, the $100,000 tournament took place. Each of these tournament events leads up to the Super High Roller Bowl, which has a $300,000 buy-in and began yesterday and continues until June 1st.
The $100,000 tournament saw a total of 54 players participating, which resulted in a prize pool of $5,292,000. The event began on Friday and saw Christian Christner, Steffen Sontheimer and Ben Tollerene make it to the final three competing in the event. The three players decided to cut a deal with each player earning a prize of over $1 million.
The three remaining players had all secured spots in the Super High Roller Event and were tired so they decided to agree on a three-handed deal based on chip counts.

The seat draw for the Super High Roller Bowl took place on the 27th with the tournament beginning at 1pm PT yesterday. The tournament will continue until June 1st with the first place winner set to take home $6 million while second will earn $3.6 million.
